Committee Application

Bkejwanong Giigdo Niinwag (Council) are seeking knowledgeable individuals to participate as Standing Committee Members for 2024-2026 Council Term.

Qualifications for Committee Members

·      Must be a member of Walpole Island First Nation over the age of 18

·      Commitment to the promotion/awareness of the committee areas

·      Expertise in the program area

·      Interested in involving people to plan effective programs

·      Applicant(s) must not be in arrears with WIFN

·      For application to the Housing Committee, one must not become an applicant for a housing loan or in arrears.

·      For application to the Social Services Committee, one must not be a client of any of the departments listed and not be in conflict as per WIFN Conflict of Interest Policy.

·      Committee members will be subject to criminal reference check.

·      Committee members will be required to sign an oath of confidentiality and code of conduct.

If you are interested in being a part of a WIFN Standing Committee, please fill out the attached application (physical copies are available at the Governance Building) and return to the Administrative Receptionist at the Naaknigewgamig Governance Building by Friday, November 25, 2024.
